Whatever My Estate, I must Pray

Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises.

James 5:13

In life, we are either happy, unhappy or both. Different people have different temperaments. Some may pray more when circumstances are good and easy but pray less when circumstances are bad. Others do the opposite. No matter what we’re enduring or not enduring, we must pray or we will not make it. It is common knowledge, we know we must pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), but do we?

Are you suffering right now? Pray. Pour out your heart before Him (Psalm 62:8).

“Arise, cry aloud in the night
At the beginning of the night watches;
Pour out your heart like water
Before the presence of the Lord;
Lift up your hands to Him
For the life of your little ones
Who are faint because of hunger
At the head of every street.”

Lamentations 2:19.

Are you cheerful right now? Pray. Sing praises to Him. Give thanks to Him.

Praise the Lord!
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Psalm 106:1

Rely on the Lord and entrust yourself to Him at all times.
